Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes announces new charity partnership for 2018

Following an in store and online vote, Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes have chosen Milton Keynes Hospital Charity as their charity partner for 2018.

Milton Keynes Hospital Charity raises funds to make a tangible difference to patients a with a mission to make a tangible difference to patients, their families, and the staff who treat them at Milton Keynes University Hospital. This year the charity have launched a £2.5million appeal for a new cancer centre.

The new cancer centre will mean that the hospital can better support each and every cancer patient. It will be a purpose-built, dedicated space offering treatment, information and support services to anyone affected by cancer, in a more spacious, comfortable and welcoming environment. 

Steve Martin, Store manager at Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes  said: “We’re really excited to be working with Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, supporting such a fantastic cause. Everyone at Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes is looking forward to working together for a successful partnership.”

The Local Charity scheme is now entering its tenth year, with a partnership launch weekend set to take place across Sainsbury’s stores from August 3rd-5th.
