Young patients on the children’s wards at Milton Keynes University Hospital were treated to a surprise visit from the stars of Milton Keynes Theatre pantomime, Robin Hood, on Friday 21st December.
Cast members Shane Richie, Gina Murray, Peter Piper, Pete Gallagher, Phil Hitchcock, Michael Quinn and Zoe George dropped by to spread Christmas cheer and entertain staff, patients and their families – dressed in full pantomime attire!
Sarah Watson, Marketing and Communications Assistant at Milton Keynes Theatre, said: “We’re really excited to bring the Robin Hood cast along to Milton Keynes University Hospital. It’s always something the actors love to get involved in and it’s a great opportunity to bring the magical world of panto to children who otherwise might miss out.”
Jenny Howells, Senior Fundraiser at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Milton Keynes Theatre and the cast of Robin Hood for taking time out of their busy schedule to visit our young patients. It’s not every day we get to bring the pantomime to our hospital – so it truly was an incredible day!”
