On Monday 8 April 2024, we held our second Milton Keynes Hospital Charity Quiz Night at Nonna’s Woburn Sands to raise funds for our Radiotherapy Appeal. We’re over the moon to announce £2,200 was raised through ticket sales and the raffle!
Every penny will go towards the very special wellbeing space to be situated on the new Radiotherapy Centre site at Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH). It’ll be a space where people with cancer and their families can go for emotional and wellbeing support any time.
We have many people to thank for making our quiz night a great success, including:
- The Milton Keynes Hospital Charity Events Committee (all volunteers), who do so much to help us pull off such great fundraising events like this one
- Simon Tuck, our fabulous quizmaster who tested our general knowledge thoroughly and brought plenty of wit and charm for a truly memorable evening
- Every single person who purchased a ticket to come along, have a whole lotta fun, and raise money for a really important cause
- The friendly staff at Nonna’s – the food and service was incredible!
But who won the coveted wooden spoon?!
Despite coming in last (again), Stratos showed great sportsmanship. Because it’s not about winning, it’s about having a great time and supporting a worthy cause, isn’t it?!
That said, ‘Charity Gals Plus One’ clinched the top spot as quiz champions (we had some big Tom Hanks fans in our midst).
Full disclosure: our team didn’t have a sneak peek at the questions beforehand!
How can I support Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s Radiotherapy Appeal?
If you couldn’t make it to our charity quiz night but would still like to support our Radiotherapy Appeal, you can make a donation online through our website. It’s simple and secure, giving reassurance your kind gift is allocated to this specific appeal.
