Do something amazing
From cake sales to sponsored runs, gala balls and head shaves, people do all kinds of fun activities to raise money for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity – and every penny makes a big difference to all who use Milton Keynes University Hospital’s (MKUH) services.
Where to start?

Your fundraising toolkit
We’ve put together a handy toolkit of fundraising ideas to help get you started. We can’t wait to hear what fun things you get up to in support of patients, families, and NHS staff at MKUH!
Milton Keynes Hospital Charity Logo
It’s a good idea to create and print some posters to promote your fundraiser. You could ask friends, family and local businesses to display these where they can.
On your poster, make sure you include key details (time, date, and location of the event, contact details).
You should also include the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity logo and our registered charity number (1048297).
A few pointers…
Set a bold fundraising target
Tell everyone how much you’re aiming to raise and keep sharing updates as you get close to it – this might tempt others to help you tip it over the line!
Give everyone a head’s up well in advance of your event
Think about the best date for your activity and give people plenty of notice to come and support, or to donate. You might want to avoid popular holiday dates.
Share progress
Are you training for a half marathon? Let everyone know how it’s going and ask if people can share your fundraising page on their social media.
Communicate the cause
Remind supporters what you’re raising money for and how their donations will make an impact at Milton Keynes University Hospital. You could share our website where they can find out more about our work and the projects we fund.
Stay safe
Whatever you do, always have the health and safety of all involved in your fundraiser front-of-mind. See page 5 in Your Fundraising Toolkit.
Remind people about GiftAid
Tell supporters they can make their donations go further (25% further, at no cost to them) if they’re a UK taxpayer. They just need to tick the GiftAid box!
Could your employer match donations?
Ask your workplace if they run a matched giving scheme. This is a great way to double your donations!
