From cake sales to sponsored runs, gala balls and head shaves, people do all kinds of fun activities to raise money for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity – and every penny makes a big difference to all who use Milton Keynes University Hospital’s (MKUH) services.

Whether you’re fundraising because you or a loved one received great care at MKUH, or because you enjoy a new challenge, you’ll be doing your bit to help patients in Milton Keynes get the healthcare they deserve.

  1. Choose your fundraiser
Find a charity place in a national fundraising event, find a Milton Keynes Hospital Charity event on our website, or invent your very own fundraiser (see Your Fundraising Toolkit below for more inspiration)

  2. Register your event with us
Email us [email protected] to let us know your plans and whether you’d like help with promoting your event.

  3. Set up your online donation page
Many of our supporters use JustGiving for their fundraisers. Friends and family can show their support by donating quickly and easily. Plus, fundraising sites like JustGiving allow supporters to boost their donations with Gift Aid.

  4. Tell the world!
You’re doing something amazing for patients, families, and NHS staff in Milton Keynes – quite rightly, you deserve to shout about it! As soon as you’re happy with your fundraising page, share the link on social media and tell everyone you know. You could also contact your local press if you’d like to share your personal story.

We’ve put together a handy toolkit of fundraising ideas to help get you started. We can’t wait to hear what fun things you get up to in support of patients, families, and NHS staff at MKUH!

It’s a good idea to create and print some posters to promote your fundraiser. You could ask friends, family and local businesses to display these where they can.

On your poster, make sure you include key details (time, date, and location of the event, contact details).

You should also include the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity logo and our registered charity number (1048297).
