This weekend IT services firm Celestra are taking part in the Bedford River Festival Dragon Boat Race in aid of Milton Keynes Hospital Charity.
For the sixth year in a row Celestra are raising funds for the neonatal unit at Milton Keynes University Hospital. On July 14 2018 a team of 16 will race across the 200 metre course of the River Ouse in Bedford, competing with over 30 teams to win the crown.
The team are taking the race seriously with dedicated training sessions in the lead up to the big day to make sure they are in tip top condition!
Corporate fundraising officer Michaela Clark said: “It’s great to have support from Celestra once again; they are always full of enthusiasm and come up with some fun ways to raise funds for our neonatal unit.
“Since our partnership started in 2012 they have raised over £11,000 for the unit and the funds are always put towards items that really make a difference to the patients and their families on the ward.”
Head of marketing Glen Irving said “It’s great to be involved with the Neonatal unit which has supported members of our team here at Celestra in the past. We understand the vital work that this unit does first hand in supporting families and it’s a pleasure to help where we can.”
