On 5th August, Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors announced the launch of their new Lasting Powers of Attorney campaign in support of the MK Hospital Charity.
The main focus of this campaign is to support the MK Hospital Charity by giving a £50 donation for every Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) completed, whilst helping people to protect their interests when they most need it.
People are living longer thanks to advancements in medical treatment but this brings with it a whole new worry for people who have a clear idea about the type of health care they would want to receive or refuse. As a result it is becoming common for people to record advance statements in a Lasting Power of Attorney.
A Lasting Power of Attorney ensures continuity in the management of you or your family’s life and finances should you become unwell and lose capacity to make decisions yourself either through illness, injury or accident.
“Choosing the MK Hospital Charity that supports so many people locally, ensuring the health and welfare of the community, was so important to us and we are delighted to be able to help in this way, whilst promoting the benefits of setting up a Lasting Power of Attorney” says Dagmara Kulczykowska, Partner.
Founded in Milton Keynes over 50 years ago, the firm strongly believes that being a successful business is more than just about delivering a high quality service, but prides itself in supporting the wider community through support of local charities and good causes.
