Thanks to donations towards our Covid-19 Appeal, we have been able to offer a newspaper service to our patients!
Usually, a lot of our patients would have regular visitors stopping by who would bring newspapers and magazines in, or patients would themselves be able to purchase these items from the mobile shop which is currently unable to visit the wards. Thanks to your donations, we have been able to fund a newspaper service, ensuring the daily newspapers can still be enjoyed.
We caught up with Ward sister, Naomi Avery who said: “The patients loved having a cup of tea and a cake with their morning newspaper. It’s so lovely walking around the ward seeing everyone read papers again. The papers help orientate them a bit too – they are able to read themselves all the updates about what’s going on. Thank you so much!”
