Midsummer Place’s Wolf Run fetches £689 for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity

In a display of community spirit and dedication, the team from Midsummer Place took part in the challenging Wolf Run in June 2024, to raise funds for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity.

The Wolf Run, known for its gruelling and adventurous course, provided the perfect opportunity for the Midsummer Place team to challenge themselves physically while giving back to their local hospital.

A big thank you to Amy and Russell Glenister, Andrew Sidwell, Tracie Vanner, Angela Sargeant, and Centre Manager Simon Martin who all proved they have the right ‘pack mentality’ for a meaningful cause!

Simon Martin, Centre Manager at Midsummer Place, expressed his pride and gratitude for the team’s efforts and the support they received:

Participating in the Wolf Run was a fantastic experience for all of us, and it was incredibly rewarding to know that our efforts are supporting such a vital institution in our community. Milton Keynes Hospital plays a crucial role in providing healthcare to our friends, families, and neighbours, and we wanted to give back in a meaningful way. The dedication and enthusiasm of our team members, Amy, Russell, Andrew, Tracie, and Angela, were truly inspiring. Together, we hope to make a difference and support the hospital in continuing its excellent work.

On Friday 2 August, the team presented a generous cheque for £689 to our charity.

Vanessa Holmes, Associate Director for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, said:

On behalf of everyone at Milton Keynes University Hospital and our charity, thank you to the Midsummer Place team. As our work becomes all the more important with the growth in our local population and demand for the hospital services, support like this is truly appreciated. Thank you!

The funds raised through the Midsummer Place team’s challenge event will directly benefit all wards and departments at Milton Keynes University Hospital, helping to enhance facilities, services, and the overall patient experience.
