Students at the Webber Independent School have been busy making a BIG difference to Little Lives.
The Stantonbury-Fields based school have been supporting Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s neonatal unit fund – Little Lives – since 2013. Through organising activities ranging from a beat the goalie competition to a Christmas raffle and summer ball, they have raised an impressive £1,500.
Each year around 430 babies are admitted onto the unit, which cares for babies born too early, too small or very ill.
Karen Rice, lead nurse on the neonatal unit, said: “It is really lovely to have the continued support of the Webber Independent School. Their donations have contributed to some really special bits of equipment, as well as enhancements to the unit – including the our wonderful neonatal unit entrance doors.”
Viktoria Molnar-Smith who is a teacher at the Webber Independent School, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s Little Lives again, and take real pride in knowing that we are making a difference to the babies who are looked after on the neonatal unit, as well as their families. We will definitely be continuing to raise money next year too.”
